From 10th April to 3rd May Rita Barbero, alias Purpleryta, shows its works of art in Cherasco.
After the positive experience of the exhibition “Wine on Paper” in La Morra, the artist present a new collection of works painted using wine on paper entitled “Messy hair women that know about Barolo (and more)”.
“Messy hair women are more fascinating than brushed women – says Purpleryta – They are always busy in something more interesting. Their lives are deeper, they feel emotions, they have sense of humour, they are frank, open minded, inquiring, maybe rude and sometimes politically-incorrect.
They know the world where they live. And lot more!
Every work of art is unit and unique: everything starts from a spot of wine that becomes the messy hair. Then creativity and interpretation of the artist complete the work in a dreamlike and alien shapes sometimes.
Through the use of different techniques and papers Purpleryta discovers and reveals surprising visual effects that the grape pigment gives to the support, enphatizing the first point on which the sensorial analyses focus on: the color.
The exhibition will take place in the wine shop Enoteca di Palazzo Mentone, where the “messy hair women” will feel at home and where, during the week ends, it will be possible to meet the artist.
During the vernissage you can raise the glass and make a toast with Purpleryta on Friday 10th April from 6 to 8 pm.
PurpleRyta lives and works in the Langhe area. In close contact with the world of wine each day she is inspired by it in a relationship that becomes active interchange and inner regeneration, using two imperatives that have always driven her passion for the art: simplify reality and color the world. In purple!
